Gaydon Motor Museum
As the name suggests, this is located in the small village of Gaydon, Warwickshire, just off junction 12 of the M40. The Museum opened in 1993 and has become home to the world’s largest collection of 300 historic British cars, ranging from classic, vintage, to veteran eras.
The Museum has a Land Rover exhibition that displays a man-made mountain to show off the brand’s world-famous off-road capabilities. The Land Rover 1968 Series lla SAS ‘Pink Panther’ is on display, as is a Land Rover ‘Cuthbertson’ which was the first Range Stormer concept car.
Gaydon also has a Film and TV Cars exhibit where the Land Rover Defender from the James Bond Skyfall movie and the Tomb Raider Defender are displayed.
